About
Steve Li is a Master of Civil Engineering graduate from the University of Melbourne, with a strong foundation in structural analysis and modelling, construction management, parametric design, and computational programming. As part of Node 6.7 within the ARC Advance Timber Hub, Steve assists the Chief Investigator and team in a civil and structural engineering capacity. His work focuses on digital timber structural design and analysis, discrete assembly, and the optimisation of buildability and regulatory compliance in innovative construction systems. He is involved in evaluating structural performance, translating architectural concepts into safe and efficient structural solutions, and developing methodologies for on-site assembly validation. Prior to joining the Hub, Steve worked as a Research Assistant at Quantum Max, where he contributed to projects involving AI-driven process automation and digital compliance tools for the built environment.
