About

Kim Baber is an Associate Professor at Bond University’s Abedian School of Architecture, and also a practising Architect based in QLD, where he is the principal of Baber Studio Architects. Kim has received the Richard Stanton Award for his contributions in promoting the sustainable use of forest resources in the design and construction industry, both through the buildings he has designed, and through his academic research. He is a recipient of the Gottstein Trust Fellowship, which he used to research timber Architecture and fabrication technologies being developed in Europe and Japan. He teaches and works on research projects with Architecture students where they design, develop and construct prototypes that test innovations in timber design.
