About
Dr Cristian Maluk is the Technical Director at Semper (UK). Prior to joining Semper, Dr Maluk had gathered 12 years of experience in academic research and teaching at The University of Queensland (Australia) and at The University of Edinburgh (UK). Dr Maluk’s work in structural and fire engineering (and science) has received international attention, embodied by novel engineering methods used for better understanding the performance of materials and structures in the event of a fire.
Dr Maluk brings a combined industry and academic background into the ARC Advance Timber Hub – contributing to the development of new knowledge and new engineering tools for the construction of fire-safe mass timber buildings.
Dr Maluk is actively involved in several international technical committees and working groups. His capacity to produce impactful research outcomes at a markedly increased rate has resulted in a total of 140+ scientific articles.
