About

David is a Senior Technical Specialist with Arup and has been involved with research and design of timber structures for fire for over 25 years. David works with owners, architects, developers and contractors enabling the use of timber as part of the load bearing structure.

David assists with mass timber product fire testing, development of new timber technologies, authoring fire safety design guides for construction of mass timber buildings, completing fire safety design and providing code advice for low, mid and high-rise mass timber buildings. David also supports and collaborates with researchers on solving problems that are directly applicable to medium and high-rise mass timber buildings. David is currently working with project teams on mass timber buildings globally.
