About
Fabiano has for over twenty years conducted research on carbon in forests and wood products. He has led significant life cycle assessment work and has contributed as lead author to the development of the Harvested Wood Products chapter of the 2014 IPCC Good Practice Guide. His research has been adopted in the IPCC Global Emissions Factor Database and Australian national GHG inventories. Fabiano has led many applied, collaborative industry research projects, most recently the $4m Biomass for Bioenergy project aiming to increase the sustainable use of biomass species.
