About

Parvesh Deepan is a Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ) and Chartered Structural Engineer with nearly 9 years of professional and research experience in structural engineering. He holds an M.Tech in Structural Engineering from IIT Bombay and is professionally recognised as RPEQ, CPEng, MIEAust (NER), MIE (India), Chartered Engineer (CEng), and a Graduate Member of the Institution of Structural Engineers (UK).

He is currently pursuing his PhD at Griffith University as part of the ARC Advance Timber Hub Project – New Hybrid Load Bearing System as an Incremental Step Towards the Adoption of Timber in Buildings.

His research focuses on hybrid load-bearing systems combining timber with other structural materials, with the aim of developing practical pathways for increasing timber use in multi-storey construction. His work examines structural performance, constructability, sustainability, and industry adoption.

His experience includes structural dynamics, seismic analysis, finite element modelling, performance-based design, high-rise structures, composite systems, and reliability-based engineering. Through the ARC Advance Timber Hub, he contributes to the development and performance assessment of next-generation hybrid timber structural systems for practical application in the construction industry.
