About
Robert has a background in architecture and is an expert in life cycle assessment. He is internationally recognised for his work developing methods, data and tools for the quantification of embodied environmental flows of materials. He is the lead developer of the Environmental Performance in Construction (EPiC) Database, a comprehensive source of embodied environment flow data for common construction materials. He works regularly with and advises designers, consultants and government to better understand and improve environmental performance. His research also informs international best practice in life cycle assessment and embodied environmental flow accounting.
