ABSTRACT

This webinar will describe the importance of understanding the influence of good vibration and acoustic design of mass timber floor systems on building occupants and provide an overview of the current status of vibration and acoustics performance of mass timber floor systems. Our presenter will describe learnings from his recently completed overseas study tour, making sense of the values that come from on-site testing and what needs to be considered, through to newly completed research providing recommendations on how to increase floor performance of mass timber structures.
