ABSTRACT
The traditional linear model in construction contributes significantly to waste, with over a third of all waste in the European Union stemming from this sector. Design for Disassembly (DfD) offers a path towards a circular construction model by facilitating the reuse of building components. This study specifically develops and validates a novel framework and an accompanying calculation tool to assess the disassembly potential of timber buildings, with a particular emphasis on their connections.
